Here at Adjustus V, we make bags to last – they’re timeless and classic in design, but also strong and durable. We do not support ‘fast, throwaway fashion’: if there’s an opportunity to fall in love with items from our wardrobe all over again, we will.
So grab a cuppa and let me show you which items you want to dig out of your wardrobe in order to step out stylishly and effortlessly this season.
THE colour of the year is Classic Blue. Who doesn’t have blue in their wardrobe?! Timeless, elegant and super versatile, if it’s blue, bring it to the front!
Any tone, any shade, sharp tailoring or cosy knits, it works.
A kaleidoscope of green, from mint to emerald to khaki. Be inspired by nature’s finest hues.
Think sepia tones and 70s browns to be bang-on-trend this autumn.
Fantastic base colours: cream, white and beige are ‘in’ this season. Incorporate into your classic outfits or just go full-throttle, head-to-toe neutral.
Celebrating the female silhouette, designers have been creating stunning head-to-toe black outfits for the catwalk this season.
Now you know what colours to wear, but what sort of ‘looks’ are we talking? You won’t go far wrong with this handy list.
• Colour-clashing combinations
Pink with red? Go on, we dare you!
• Exposed stitch work
Simple stitch work on a cowboy boot or delicate embroidery – you choose.
• Victorian fashion
Think velvet dresses, pointed-toe heeled boots, pie-crust collars, nipped waists and floral brocades.
• Power-dressing
Classic empire lines, 40s inspired cocktail gowns and delicate face veils were all seen on the catwalk.
• Back to school
A tricky one to pull off without going full-on St Trinian’s, so best stick with the power-suit and a pair of brogues.
The prints for this season are inspired by artists, but you’ll also see lots of plaid. If you have any heritage plaid in your closet, now is the time to dig it out. Whether on a dress, coat, shoe or accessory, plaid is very ‘now’.
If it’s OTT, wear it with confidence. Regal-style headwear with sheer veils, vintage lace and floral bouquets. We can’t promise we will be joining in this one, but we do have a few flora and fauna-inspired brooches and jewellery, which are also on-trend. Phew!
